Spring Festival & Craft Fair: A Springtime Success

A gigantic "thank you" to all of the amazing folks that came together to make our first annual Seedpod Farm Spring Festival & Craft Fair an enormous success. We saw a total of 215 participants come and join the fun yesterday. Not bad for our first run!

Our day was a true northwest spring day- beautiful sunny skies, a brief April shower, and a break in the clouds with a bit of sun for the afternoon. Throwing tarps over displays and huddling together under the canopies during the shower made for a memorable time! Soon enough though, the orchard was filled again with laughing kids, enjoying the springtime air.

Vendors lined the orchard and were able to see each other and all the doings of the day . Kids were able to play at the corn table, read farm books on straw bales, blow bubbles and chase balloons all while their parents ambled around visiting with the wonderful group of hard-working vendors.

Farmer Ellie shared her knowledge of Beneficial Insects- painting rocks with kids. Farmer Nate shared his knowledge of pumpkins, planting a seed with kids and encouraging them to come back in the fall to purchase their jack-o-lantern. And Farmer Isaac was our chicken expert, sharing his knowledge of our three resident breeds; showing off his New Hampshire Red flock.

This felt like a true community event. Our thanks to the many volunteers that helped with hospitality, parking, vendor vittles, selling at the Seedpod Farm table, helping with the kids' crafts, and serving celebratory strawberry shortcake! All of this conspired to make a wonderful day.

Thank you folks for a wonderful Spring Festival & Craft Fair!!! We can hardly wait to see you at our next event!
